The Autry Museum of the American West, located in Griffith Park, is planning to reopen Thursday and is offering visitors free admission.

The museum has been closed during the wildfires burning in Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, Altadena, West Hills and in the San Fernando Valley.

“The Autry’s top priority is the safety of our visitors and community. It is with caution that the Autry is pleased to announce that we are reopening our doors on Thursday, Jan. 16,” the museum said in a statement Wednesday.

The museum is offering free admission through Monday.

“We hope the museum provides a necessary respite during this difficult time,” the museum team said.
