Authorities sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in locating a 75-year-old man last seen in Sun Valley, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.
Jackson Amalef was last seen traveling on foot on Jan. 5 around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Strathern Street and Vineland Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Amalef was described as a 6-feet-4-inch tall man weighing 200 pounds with a bald head and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and pants.
Anyone with information about Amalef’s whereabouts was urged to contact 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
