A 24-year-old male pedestrian was fatally struck by multiple vehicles on a freeway connector road in Baldwin Park before sunrise Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 2:09 a.m. to the transition road from the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway to the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, where they found the man in the first and second lanes of the connector road, Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner later identified the man as Sonny Provencio.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of four lanes of the transition road that was in effect for approximately two hours while it investigated the collision.
