Caltrans officials announced that the state Route 111 Roadway Project will switch to a nighttime construction schedule.
In a response to public concerns about traffic congestion and delays, paving — starting Monday — will now occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Mondays to Thursdays, according to a statement published Thursday evening. No work will be performed on Fridays and weekends.
Additionally, the statement clarified that closures on multiple key intersection would not be simultaneous, leaving options open between Gene Autry Trail at Vista Chino, Ramon Road, Dinah Shore/Mesquite and East Palm Canyon Drive.
Nighttime paving is expected to be completed by the end of March, with the overall project’s goal set for the end of April.
