Los Angeles General Medical Center sought the public’s help Wednesday in identifying a patient who primarily speaks Spanish and has mentioned his residence in the Vermont Square neighborhood.

The man has been hospitalized since Feb. 16, when he was found lying down with apparent facial trauma in the 1030 block of North Vermont Avenue, near Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood, hospital officials said.

He is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, 4-feet-8 inches tall, 181 pounds, with short black hair, a black beard and dark brown eyes.

“Patient is a tan-skin possible Hispanic male with no tattoos. Patient occasionally mentions that he lives on 41st Street and Walton Avenue. Primarily Spanish speaking,” according to a statement from the hospital.

Anyone with information about the man was asked to call social worker Jonathan Evanculla at 323-409-3859, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from Monday through Thursday. After-hours, hospital staff can be reached at 323-409-5253.
