A 77-year-old man last seen in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities announced Wednesday.
Julian Downs had last been seen on April 8 at around 7:50 p.m. near Vineland Avenue and Strathern Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers have since located Downs, but did not provide additional details about when or when he was found.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
