A person with moderate injuries was rescued Saturday from an inaccessible area southeast of Rancho Mirage.
The injured person was reported at 7:36 p.m. Saturday to the Riverside County Fire Department, officials said.
Firefighters got into the area and aided the patient, who was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance, fire officials said.
It was unclear how the person got injured.
