The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday for the fourth consecutive day following a run of 11 increases in 12 days totaling 7.7 cents, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.805.

The average price has dropped 2 cents over the past four days, including six-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 1.8 cents lower than one month ago and 32.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The average price has dropped $1.688 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.725. It has dropped 4.3 cents over the past seven days, including six-tenths of a cent Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 4.4 cents lower than one month ago and 31.7 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.733 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 1.3 cents to $3.195, one day after a run of three decreases in four days totaling 1.5 cents ended with an increase of a half-cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 2.9 cents higher than one month ago but 41.5 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.821 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
