The driver of a third-party courier service carrying U.S. Postal Service mail suffered major injuries in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Alhambra, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 5:50 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound freeway, just west of Garfield Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics and firefighters from the Alhambra Fire Department were dispatched at 5:52 a.m., the CHP said. A spokesperson from the Alhambra Fire Department could not be reached for immediate comment.
Paramedics rushed the courier service driver to a hospital, the CHP said.
All lanes were closed on the eastbound freeway at 6:14 a.m., but were re-opened at 7:12 a.m.
No further information was immediately available.
