A search was underway Friday for an at-risk 86-year-old man last seen in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles and the California Highway Patrol activated a Silver Alert to help locate him.
Cardinal Usher was last seen at about 11 a.m. Thursday around West Third Street and South Robertson Boulevard, according to the CHP. He was believed to have been on foot.
Usher is Black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, bald with brown eyes, wearing a khaki jacket, navy blue sweats and black shoes.
Anyone who sees Usher or knows where he is was asked to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at risk to help local law enforcement agencies locate them more quickly.
