A person was killed in a two-vehicle collision Thursday in Lancaster.
The crash occurred at 6:53 a.m. in the area of 170th Street East and Avenue P, according to the California Highway Patrol.
After the initial impact, one of the vehicles careened into a light pole.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A description of that person was not provided. The CHP said that paramedics did not transport anyone to a hospital.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
