Rescuers hoisted a fallen hiker Thursday morning after the roughly 70-year-old woman went down on a trail in Studio City.
The call went out about 9:40 a.m. for a woman who had sustained minor injuries in a fall on the Fryman Canyon Trail in the area of 3501 Alta Mesa Drive.
Rescuers set up a hoist operation to take the woman from the scene to an awaiting ambulance, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.
Although her injuries appeared to be minor, she was taken to a hospital to be evaluated, Middleton said.
