A 29-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a car in Thermal Tuesday.
Salvador Torres Garcia of Thermal was fatally injured shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 59th Avenue and Pierce Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said a Honda motorcycle was traveling north on Pierce Street at an unconfirmed speed when it crashed into a Subaru sedan, which was traveling south on Pierce Street.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was not injured.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
