A 25-year-old man was killed during a multi-vehicle crash Sunday on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Pacoima.
The crash occurred about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the northbound freeway at Terra Bella Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched to the location at 3:39 a.m. pronounced one person dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
He was later identified as Louie Chavarria-Terrazas, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not available.
The crash involved a white Honda sedan and at least two other vehicles, the CHP stated. The cause of the collision was not immediately known.
A Sigalert issued at 3:53 a.m. closing the northbound lanes was canceled at 7:49 a.m.
