A suspicious package investigation shut down both lanes of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Brentwood Thursday.
The item was located around 11:35 a.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers shut down northbound lanes at Sunset Boulevard and southbound lanes at Wilshire Boulevard as well as the Wilshire on-ramp.
Northbound lanes were reopened about 1:45 p.m. and officers were preparing to reopen southbound lanes as well, a CHP officer said.
Information about the suspicious item was not immediately available.
