A person was fatally struck Saturday morning by a vehicle at a freeway off-ramp to the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. at the West Eighth Street exit to the southbound freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
The agency issued a SigAlert at 5:08 a.m. for the closure of the West Eighth Street exit of the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway for at least two hours.
There was no other immediate information.
