The numbers in Friday evening’s draw of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery are 2, 5, 42, 44, 60 and the Mega number is 1.
The estimated jackpot is $743 million, the 10th largest in the history of the game which began in 1996 as The Big Game and was given the new name Mega Millions in 2002.
The drawing was the 36th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 290,472,336, according to the Mega Millions Consortium, which conducts the game. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 23.
The Mega Millions game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
There have been at least 10 larger jackpots for the Powerball game.
