The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power expects to fully restore power in Echo Park by around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Around 800 customers reported lost power beginning around 11 p.m. Tuesday, a department spokesperson said.
Several customers had their power restored as of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to LADWP.
Residents in the Echo Park area began reporting power outages days ago, ABC7 reported
The cause of the outage is under investigation, the spokesperson said.
Video from the scene shows residential streets, gas stations and businesses dark without lights and power in the affected area.
