Emergency personnel were responding Wednesday to an overturned tractor-trailer carrying 43,000 pounds of cheese in Lancaster.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and a SigAlert was issued for Avenue E East from 90th Street to 120th Street until 8:55 a.m. due to an oil diesel spill from the tractor-trailer, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Details on any injuries sustained from the collision were not immediately available, according to the CHP.
The tractor-trailer collided with a minivan and overturned around 10:32 p.m., the CHP said.
The vehicles also knocked down an electricity pole in the collision, according to the CHP.
Video from the scene shows the overturned tractor-trailer and the damaged minivan both having careened off the road. A door from the minivan appears detached from the vehicle, the video shows.
