A 45-year-old man killed in a three-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Hollywood was identified by county authorities Tuesday.
James Chhan was fatally injured about 2:30 p.m. Monday on the northbound 405 Freeway just north of Sunset Boulevard and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. His identity was released by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
One other person was injured in the crash.
Details regarding what led up to the crash were not available.
A SigAlert issued for the closure of the carpool lane and two main lanes was canceled at 6:20 p.m. Monday.
