The Laugh Factory Hollywood announced Thursday it will host its 46th annual High Holiday services beginning Saturday, with the services open to the public and livestreamed online at no charge.
Rabbi Bob Jacobs and Cantor Robin Winston will lead the services, with Sue Karlin sounding the shofar, according to the comedy club.
The Rosh Hashanah morning service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Kol Nidre service at 6 p.m. Sept. 20.
Yom Kippur services will be held Sept. 21, with a morning service at 11 a.m. and the Neilah service at 6 p.m. The final service will be followed by lox, bagels and cream cheese for attendees breaking the fast.
“People around the world are facing the threat of war, severe economic challenges, and a growing sense of isolation and division,” Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada said. “Our High Holiday Services are about bringing people together to pray with one voice for hope, healing, and peace. These are values that can inspire and uplift us all.”
Organizers said more than 2 million viewers watched the services online last year.
