A 37-year-old man who died when the vehicle he was driving crashed and overturned in downtown Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Tuesday.
Victor Edwards Jr. died at the scene of the crash at about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 in the 300 block of South Grand Avenue, on the street’s upper level, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
Edwards’ blue Mazda went over a railing, landed on a lower level, overturned and caught fire, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
Video from the scene showed firefighters responding to the overturned, destroyed vehicle.
