A person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the Artesia (91) Freeway in Long Beach that was under investigation Thursday.
A black Tesla and a burgundy Honda collided around 10:19 p.m. Wednesday on the eastbound Artesia Freeway, just west of the Long Beach (710) Freeway, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.
The CHP said there was possibly a person in the middle of the roadway at the time of the collision.
The CHP did not confirm if the person pronounced dead at the scene was also the person in the roadway at the time of the collision.
Two other vehicles were possibly involved in the collision, according to the CHP.
All lanes were reopened on the eastbound Artesia Freeway just west of the Long Beach Freeway around 1:51 a.m. after a SigAlert was initially issued.
The collision is under investigation.
