Motorists traveling through the Sepulveda Pass will face overnight lane, ramp and connector closures beginning Monday evening as work continues on a $143.7 million pavement rehabilitation project along the San Diego (405) Freeway.
The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 30, for K-rail installation and paving work, with speed limits reduced to 55 mph in both directions in some areas, according to Caltrans.
Up to two northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed between Sepulveda and Victory boulevards, and up to four northbound lanes will be closed between Wilshire Boulevard and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.
The northbound Getty Center Drive on- and off-ramps to the 405 Freeway will also be closed.
Up to five northbound lanes will be closed between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard.
The Sepulveda Boulevard on- and off-ramps to the southbound 405 Freeway will be closed, along with the Burbank Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405 Freeway, the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway connector to the southbound 405 Freeway and the southbound 101 Freeway connector to the northbound 405 Freeway.
Residents and businesses near the construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust, according to Caltrans.
Motorists were advised to check Caltrans QuickMap for current road conditions.
The work is part of the I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood through the Sepulveda Pass and is intended to improve safety and mobility and extend the life of the freeway pavement.
