Motorists traveling through the Sepulveda Pass will face overnight lane, ramp and connector closures next week as work continues on a $143.7 million pavement rehabilitation project along the San Diego (405) Freeway.

The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through next Friday, Nov. 6, for K-rail installation and paving work, with the speed limit reduced to 55 mph in both directions in some areas, according to Caltrans.

Intermittent closures are scheduled each day between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. as follows:

— Up to two northbound lanes between Sepulveda and Victory boulevards.

— Up to four northbound lanes between Wilshire Boulevard and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.

— The Getty Center Drive off/on-ramp to the northbound 405.

— Up to five northbound lanes between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard.

— The Sepulveda Boulevard off/on-ramp to the southbound 405.

— Up to four southbound lanes between the Ventura (101) Freeway and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.

— The Burbank Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405.

— The northbound 101 connector to the southbound 405.

— The Southbound U.S. 101 connector to northbound I-405.

Residents and businesses near the construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust, according to Caltrans.

Motorists were advised to check Caltrans QuickMap for current road conditions.

The work is part of the I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood and is intended to improve safety and mobility and extend the life of the freeway pavement.
