A 46-year-old surfer drowned in the surf off Huntington Beach, authorities said Friday.
Wesley Goldenhar, of Huntington Beach, who was wearing a wetsuit, was being administered CPR by a member of the public around 9:30 a.m. Thursday on the beach near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 20th Street when authorities were called, the Orange County Register reported.
Goldenhar was pronounced dead around 10:40 a.m. Thursday, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The coroner did not provide a cause of death. The Register reported an autopsy was pending.
