The Orange County coroner’s office has identified the motorcyclist killed Sunday in a crash with a sedan hauling a small trailer on the Ortega Highway between San Juan Capistrano and Lake Elsinore.
Sixty-three-year-old Ian James Gibson was a resident of the city of Orange, the coroner’s office said.
The crash was at 8:44 a.m. Sunday on Ortega Highway just east of the western fire station, according to the CHP.
The vehicle involved in the crash was described as a light blue Chevrolet Cruze with a small trailer attached to it, according to the CHP. The driver of that vehicle was not injured, although its air bags deployed.
