A cement truck overturned on a road leading from a Riverside (91) Freeway offramp in Anaheim Monday morning, prompting the California Highway Patrol to shut down the ramp, a fire official said.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the Kraemer Boulevard offramp from the eastbound Riverside Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A cement truck overturned spilling its load on Kraemer Boulevard at Frontera Street, said the Metronet dispatch supervisor for firefighter response in the area. One person was transported to UCI Medical Center, she said.
The CHP closed the offramp at 2:40 a.m. and requested barricades from Caltrans for a more long-term closure at 3:50 a.m.
