More than half a dozen shots were fired from a passing vehicle at a house in Buena Park, authorities said Friday.

One of the eight rounds shattered the rear window of a car parked in the driveway, and the remainder struck the house, in the 7000 block of Pelican Drive, Buena Park Police Department Sgt. Greg Pelton said.

Three people were inside the residence at the time, but none were hit, Pelton said.

Whether they heard the shots was still under investigation, Pelton said.

Witnesses said the shots were fired from a silver or grey sedan with large chrome rims around 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Pelton said.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call the Buena Park Police Department at (714) 562-3968.
