An animal caught in equipment caused a power outage to more than 1,600 Southern California Edison customers in Costa Mesa, the utility said Saturday.
SCE said around 2,200 households were impacted at the height of the outage, which was reported at 10:15 p.m. Friday.
Power had been restored to most customers by early Saturday, Edison said.
