Starting Thursday, fans of the television show “The Doctors” will get a chance to win a $1 million home in Irvine.

The show’s producers teamed up with homebuilder Lennar Corp. to build a four-bedroom, fourth-bath, 2,479-square-foot home worth more than $1 million in Pavilion Park, which is in the Great Park Neighborhoods.

Construction started in late September and is expected to be done early next year. Progress will be documented on “The Doctors.”

“The Doctors has been running an investigative series entitled, ‘Is Your House Making You Sick?’ ” and the unfortunate truth we found is that the answer is usually, yes,” the show’s executive producer Jay McGraw said. “Because the show prides itself on educating and providing practical information to live the healthiest and happiest life possible, we wanted to do something extraordinary this season to further the messaging. We partnered with Lennar Corporation, the leader in quality and value in healthy home construction, for this season-long event and once-in-a-lifetime giveaway opportunity for our audience. Lennar’s experience, combined with our doctors’ expertise and broad reach, is a very healthy recipe for success.”

The home will feature solar power, an energy-saving tankless water heater, radiant-barrier sheathing, drywall that lessens allergens and contaminants, formaldehyde-free insulation, and hard-surface floors.
