A man was fatally stabbed on a street in unincorporated Anaheim, and his alleged killer was in custody Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The stabbing was reported at 8:13 p.m. Sunday at Cerritos Avenue and Perdido Street, Orange County sheriff’s Lt. John Roche said.
A 52-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen and chest, Roche said.

Ruben Martinez, 27, of Anaheim was detained at the crime scene, and was later arrested, said sheriff’s Lt. Jeffrey Hallock.
Martinez was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder, and was held on $1 million bail, with a court appearance set for Tuesday, Hallock said.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, and information obtained at the scene, it appears the stabbing occurred during an altercation in the street between Martinez and the male victim,” Hallock said.
“It is still unclear the reason for the dispute, (and) investigators are still attempting to determine if Martinez and the victim knew each other,” Hallock said.
