A second-alarm fire damaged a two-story Laguna Niguel home Saturday.
Firefighters were dispatched to 23941 Catamaran Way at 2:48 a.m. and had the fire out at 3:30 a.m., said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Ben Gonzales.
Gonzales said that preliminary reports indicated that the fire began in a bedroom and spread to the attic.
Firefighters conducting an overhaul of the structure are expected to be at the scene at least until noon, he said, and possibly until 4 p.m.
