An unidentified man who apparently stabbed himself after allegedly stabbing his wife several times during a Thanksgiving Day argument was arrested for attempted murder, a Huntington Beach police lieutenant said.
The attack inside a home at 6100 Edinger Ave. was reported at 9:40 a.m., said Huntington Beach police Lt. J. Domingo.
Officers responded to the home on a domestic violence call, Domingo continued. The officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds and a man who was also stabbed. Both people were transported to a hospital for treatment by paramedics.
Detectives were called to the scene and determined the husband and wife had an argument during which the man stabbed the female victim, Domingo added. It appeared the husband then stabbed himself after attacking his wife.
Both people were expected to survive, Domingo said.
The investigation was ongoing and police asked anyone with information on this case to call the HBPD at (714) 375-5066 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS. All tips can be made anonymously.
