More than 300 customers were without power in Fullerton today after Mylar balloons made contact with high-voltage lines.

Five of the balloons touched the wires, causing the outage around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, a Southern California Edison employee told a news videographer at the scene.

There were about 330 customers without power as of 7:30 a.m. today, according to the utility, which reported that power was expected to be restored early this afternoon.
