Costa Mesa police on Thursday were looking for a man who robbed a woman at a drive-up ATM with her child in the back seat.
The robbery happened about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday at a Wells Fargo Bank branch at 2970 Harbor Blvd.
The woman had just finished a transaction at the ATM when the handgun-wielding robber demanded $500. She was only able to withdraw $300 from the machine and handed it over to the suspect, who ran off with the loot, police said.
The woman and her child were unhurt.
The suspect is a white man in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was unshaven and was wearing a black beanie, black jacket with hood, black scarf and sunglasses.
