A 61-year-old motorcyclist who died after crashing his motorcycle in Dana Point was identified Monday by the Orange County coroner’s office.
The crash took place about 11:25 p.m. Friday on Stonehill Drive east of Monarch Beach Drive, according to the coroner’s office.
Larry Mooty Jr. of Laguna Niguel was transported to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo where he later died, according to the coroner’s office.
The collision remained under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
