One person was injured Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash in Santa Ana, prompting the closure of five lanes of the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, authorities said.
The crash, involving a big rig and two other vehicles, occurred on the freeway’s southbound lanes, beneath the Garden Grove (22) Freeway overpass, around 3:30 a.m. The big rig overturned, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A SigAlert was declared, and all lanes were reopened by about 5:30 a.m., said CHP Officer Denise Quesada. The severity of the injury was not immediately known. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
