Police arrested an apparently-drunken motorist for losing control of his vehicle Saturday and striking a Costa Mesa home, where he nearly hit three residents asleep in a bedroom.
The crash was in the 700 block of Hamilton Street at about 3:20 a.m, said Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Cameron Phillips.
The driver was not injured and the home sustained moderate damage, Phillips said.
