A “walk-on” girl’s basketball coach at Villa Park High School has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with two high school girls, authorities said.
Dwayne Jordan Richardson, 19, of Fullerton was taken into custody on Wednesday and booked on suspicion of crimes that include unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeffrey Hallock.
Bail was set at $100,000, and Richardson was released early Thursday after posting bond, the sheriff’s department reported.
Richardson is a “walk-on” girls’ basketball coach and does not teach at the school, Hallock sad.
“Following the preliminary investigation, it is believed Richardson engaged in sexual misconduct with a female minor student who attends Villa Park High School, and (with) a student at El Dorado High School in Placentia,” Hallock said.
“Based on information obtained during the investigation, investigators suspect Richardson has engaged in sexual misconduct with at least one of the minor students since June 2014,” Hallock said.
Authorities believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with more information on the case, or who may have been victimized by the suspect, was urged to call Sgt. Wade Walsvick, (714) 647-7418; or (714) 647-7000. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
