
An overnight driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Dana Point netted five drunken driving arrests and one drug-related arrest, a sheriff’s lieutenant said Saturday.
The checkpoint began at 6 p.m. Friday and ended Saturday at 3 a.m., said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.
Hallock said 623 drivers were screened at the checkpoint.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department did not release the location of the checkpoint in Dana Point.
