A motorist who sailed past an Orange County sheriff’s deputy in Stanton Thursday touched off a chase that apparently led to the suspect’s residence.
The suspect sped past a deputy about 10:35 a.m. at Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue in Stanton, prompting the deputy to try to pull the man over for reckless driving, according to Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.
The motorist kept going and led authorities on a chase through surface streets in Stanton, Anaheim and Garden Grove, Hallock said. The pursuit ended in an apartment complex on Haster Street and Garden Grove Boulevard, where the driver stopped and was arrested, Hallock said.
It appears the driver, who was not immediately identified, headed home instead of pulling over initially, Hallock said.
