Orange County sheriff’s investigators asked the public today for help tracking down a suspect who robbed a restaurant in Yorba Linda.
The gun-wielding suspect broke into the El Torito Grill, 22699 Oakcrest Circle through a rear entrance about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday and forced two employees into a manager’s office while demanding cash from a safe, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The robber is suspected of another holdup in April at a Mimi’s Cafe restaurant in Whittier.
The suspect is a black man, who is about 5-foot-9, and weighs 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeve, white-and-gray shirt, gray jeans and gloves in the Yorba Linda stickup. He masked his face with a white-and-black bandana and also had a black backpack.
