A deputy suffered minor injuries when a drunken motorist rear-ended his patrol car Saturday, during a roving saturation patrol for drunken drivers in Stanton.
The crash was at about 12:30 a.m. on northbound Beach Boulevard at Main Street, where the motorist was arrested on suspicion drunken driving, said Orange County Lt. Jeff Hallock.
Hallock said no one was transported to an area hospital.
The drunken driving saturation patrol began at 7 p.m. Friday and ended today at 3 a.m. with tours in Stanton, Yorba Linda and Villa Park, he said.
The patrol netted three drunken driving arrests. Three motorists motorists driving on a suspended or revoked licensed were cited, three unlicensed drivers were cited and one stolen vehicle was recovered during the patrol.
Also, there was one criminal arrest for an outstanding warrant during the saturation patrol.
