
The U.S. Coast Guard and Orange County sheriff’s personnel Tuesday were searching for a 40-year-old man in the waters near Dana Point.
Another boater who was on an 18-foot Boston Whaler was rescued a mile off the shore of Dana Point and was reported in good condition, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Orange County sheriff’s officials called the Coast Guard just before 11 a.m. to report that the Whaler was spinning in circles two miles west of Dana Point.
The rescued boater said the pair entered the water at 9 a.m.
