A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Laguna Beach Friday while outside a crosswalk, police said.
The accident in the 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Road occurred at 1:05 a.m., Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Eric Lee said.
Richard McCrary, 40, died at a hospital, the Orange County coroner’s office reported. His home town was not known. The 20-year-old woman driving the vehicle remained at the scene and was not detained, Lee said.
