A 51-year-old barber was behind bars Thursday for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old customer.
Ruben Olguin of Santa Ana was charged with one felony count of lewd act on a child 14 or 15 years old, according to court records. Olguin, who was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 4.
Olguin is accused of molesting a teenage male customer on July 21 at the Salon de Belleza Nuevo Guadalajara, 118 E. Fourth St., according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
“The mom has been taking her son to this barber and she was seated in the lobby” when the alleged molestation happened while the barber was shampooing his customer’s hair in the back of the store, Bertagna said.
