Three people suffered non life-threatening wounds when a gunman fired at them while they were sitting on a couch inside an Anaheim garage, police said Monday.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of South Ivanhoe Street, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

Two 21-year-old men and a 17-year-old girl were sitting on the couch with the garage door partially open when they were wounded in their lower extremities, Wyatt said. They were transported for hospital treatment, and were expected to survive.

The shooting came hours after a 22-year-old man was shot in Anaheim. The Anaheim Police Department said the man and some friends were partying at a commercial area in the 15-hundred block of west Embassy Street when the shooting happened.

The man, a Huntington Beach resident, died at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange around 6 a.m. Sunday. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
