Police on Tuesday circulated surveillance images of a gunman who robbed two gas stations in Tustin.
The robberies took place between 5:45 a.m. and 8 a.m., one on Wednesday and another on Sunday, and both stations were in the 14000 block of Red Hill Avenue, Tustin police Lt. Robert Wright said.
In each robbery, the suspect approached a clerk, pulled a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money before fleeing with an unknown sum in what appeared to be a black Nissan sedan with no license plates, Wright said.
The suspect is described as 35-45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He appears to have short hair and a thick, dark-colored mustache.
During Sunday’s robbery, he wore a camouflage boonie hat, black shirt, black jacket worn inside out, blue jeans and white shoes.
Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call the detective handling the case at (714) 573-3246.
