The crash occurred on Red Hill Avenue just south of Warner Avenue a little after 6 a.m., Thursday according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The street sweeper was stopped and facing south along the curb on Red Hill when it was struck by the 2015 Harley-Davidson, police said.
“The motorcycle became lodged to the rear body panel of the sweeper vehicle and the rider was ejected from the bike,” according to a police statement.
The motorcyclist, identified by police as Mateus Castro of Santa Ana, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
